The CFLA attended the Canadian International Auto Show, CADA Summit, and Liberal Auto Caucus Roundtable to advocate for our industry.

After a two-year hiatus, the Canadian International Auto Show returned in Toronto. The show allows us to meet with vital industry stakeholders, like automotive associations and the government, to amplify our voice and advocate for sound policies that help our sector.

Where were we?

We attended three events to amplify our industry's voice:

1. Canadian International Auto Show opening night

2. Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) Summit

3. Liberal Auto Caucus Roundtable

What did we do?

We had two primary intentions:

1. Continue to keep Canada's asset-based finance and leasing industry as a priority for stakeholders

2. Specifically advocate for intervention regarding illegal vehicle exports.

More details:

During the Auto Show's opening night and CADA's summit, we networked with stakeholders to discuss the CFLA's objectives, focusing on auto, to help keep our industry a priority.

At the Liberal Auto Caucus Roundtable, we – with support from auto associations – addressed the need for illegal vehicle export intervention. With six Members of Parliament in attendance, this opportunity was invaluable.

Where do we stand?

We continue to advocate for policies that help our members thrive, like stopping illegal vehicle exports.
