What brought you to the asset-based finance and leasing industry?

I am a lawyer that has specialized in realizations and recovery in respect of a number of different industries including asset-based finance and leasing.


What do you like about working in this industry?

The people. The people in asset-based finance and leasing are knowledgeable professionals who work cooperatively to improve the industry. Working for clients in this industry is a pleasure.


What motivates you?

Finding a solution for my clients and helping them to attain their goals is what drives me.


How do you overcome the challenges you face at work?

I try not to get overwhelmed. When a challenge arises it initially often seems worse than it is. I find that if I take a step back and think about it for a bit and try to break it down, I am able identify steps to resolve the challenge that allow me to approach it in manageable pieces.


What is your number one travel destination and why?

There are so many places I have left to see but one of the best places I’ve gone is Portugal. It has everything: mild climate, beautiful beaches, nice cities, medieval castles, vineyards and nice people.


What is one of your favourite books and why?

I love well researched historical fiction. The kinds of stories where you learn about historical events through the lives of fictional characters. The Century Trilogy by Ken Follett was a great series that follows the intertwined lives of five families from different countries, American, German, Russian, English and Welsh across the 20th century exploring key events like WWI, WWII and the Cold War.
